Bangladesh Under-15s draw 1-1 with Indonesia in Baku after taking the lead
Bangladesh drew 1-1 with Indonesia at the Under-15 World Cup and Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan. In Sunday's Group G qualifying match, Bangladesh took an early lead but could not hold on for the win.
Bangladesh played positive football from the start of the match. In the eighth minute, Mohammad Bayezid scored to put the team ahead.
Bayezid, the young footballer, had also scored earlier in the day in the first match against Portugal. His goal against Indonesia kept Bangladesh in front for a large part of the first half.
However, Bangladesh conceded a goal in first-half added time and Indonesia levelled the match at 1-1.
In the second half both teams pushed for a goal, but neither side found the net again. The two teams left the field with a 1-1 draw.
The draw was Bangladesh's second draw in three matches in the competition. They had begun the tournament with a goalless draw against the European side Wales.
Earlier in the day, however, Bangladesh lost 3-1 to Portugal in their first match. In that match Bangladesh also led early through Bayezid's goal before losing. Ruben Queiroz scored one of Portugal's goals.
