100 Crore on Screen, 120 Crore in Business: Samantha's Perfume Brand Grows Eightfold in Eight Months
South Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has further strengthened her position as a successful woman entrepreneur beyond the silver screen. Her co-founded perfume brand, Secret Alchemist, has achieved remarkable business success — the brand's overall revenue has crossed ₹120 crore.
According to an Indian media report, the company's revenue has grown nearly eightfold in the last eight months. Samantha built the perfume venture in partnership with Ankita Thadani and Akash Vali. Such growth in so short a time has drawn particular attention in India's celebrity-brand world.
Alongside this business success, the actress has maintained her commercial run on screen as well. Her new film Maa Inti Bangaram, recently released in theatres, has received a strong box-office response and has already earned more than ₹100 crore.
As a result, the star has touched new milestones in the world of commerce at the same time as in entertainment. Such simultaneous success in two different fields is not something seen very often in a celebrity's career.
Samantha expressed her delight at the twin achievements. She said she was overwhelmed to see two completely different ventures reach such important milestones. In her words, Maa Inti Bangaram is a film very close to her heart, and behind building Secret Alchemist from scratch stood the sincere belief of a dedicated team.
Expressing gratitude for people's trust and love, she added that these achievements inspire her to push past new limits and to earn a lasting place in people's minds through quality work.
Notably, Samantha has kept herself involved in several business ventures beyond perfumes. In 2020, she co-founded Saaki, a contemporary fashion and lifestyle brand for Indian women, together with entrepreneur Sushruti Krishna.
She is also actively involved with Mile Collective, an activewear and lifestyle brand launched jointly with Harshita Motaparthi and Pravishta Nadella. At the same time, she runs business operations as a co-founder of Gataca, a health nutrition supplement brand.
Acting, fashion, lifestyle, perfume and nutrition supplements — Samantha's identity as an entrepreneur is now multifaceted. Secret Alchemist's ₹120 crore milestone has only reinforced that identity.
All eyes are now on how far she can take the brand while sustaining this growth — and on whether her upcoming screen work enjoys the same success.
