Bodycam Footage Released from Deadly Tampa Citibank Shooting; Deputies Arrived Within a Minute

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has released edited body camera footage and 911 calls from the law enforcement response to Wednesday's deadly shooting at a Citibank campus in Tampa, Florida.
According to authorities, the suspect drove through a fence at the Sabal Park Office Development, crashed into an outdoor seating area and fatally shot a woman. He then opened fire inside the building's cafeteria.
In the released footage, Hillsborough County deputies are seen rushing into the sprawling business campus, and one deputy arriving on the scene asks bystanders for a description of the suspect.
That deputy then reports that a vehicle had crashed into the property and that the suspect was inside the cafeteria.
An officer is later heard announcing, “Shooter is down.” The video then shows deputies escorting people out of the building.
The newly released 911 audio captures a caller reporting gunfire at Citibank, along with authorities coordinating their response, including plans to enter the building.
The sheriff's office said dispatchers began receiving calls about shots fired at 12:11 p.m., and deputies arrived within one minute.
Authorities praised an armed Citibank security guard who shot the suspect during an exchange of gunfire. The gunman was later pronounced dead at Tampa General Hospital.
The sheriff's office said more than 3,200 people were on campus when the shooting unfolded, and over 400 law enforcement personnel responded, including 367 sheriff's deputies.
Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement, “Thanks to the brave actions by the security team on-site and more than 365 deputies, this unhinged suspect was stopped before he could harm anyone else.”
