Dhaka-Bound Kishoreganj Express Stuck at Station After Engine Failure, Train Yet to Depart After Two Hours as Passengers Suffer

Staff Reporter • Reading time: 2 min

The Dhaka-bound Kishoreganj Express train has become stuck at a station after its engine broke down. Even after more than two hours had passed, the train had not departed, leaving passengers in severe suffering.

The incident occurred on Wednesday (21 October). Passengers waiting for their scheduled journey remained stuck at the station for a long time, and with no certainty about the train's departure, anxiety and anger grew among them.

According to reports, the breakdown of the train's engine is the cause of this standstill. Until the engine is running again, it has not been possible for the train to set off for Dhaka.

News that the train had not departed even after more than two hours was published by more than one outlet. The picture of passengers' suffering during the long wait emerged in those reports.

Many passengers of this Dhaka-bound train have scheduled work and destinations in the capital; with the train stuck, their plans risk being disrupted. However, no specific statement from passengers was mentioned in these reports.

When train services are disrupted in this way, ordinary passengers suffer the most. Uncertain waiting at the station, anxiety about reaching their destination and searching for alternative transport — all together multiply the suffering.

This incident of the Kishoreganj Express being stuck also raises questions about railway engine maintenance and preparedness. Passengers are wondering whether such a long ordeal could have been avoided if the engine fault had been detected before the journey began.

However, the reports did not provide detailed information on when the train would resume movement or whether an alternative engine had been arranged. Passengers remain waiting for the train to depart.

Those concerned believe quick decisions and information are essential to reduce the suffering of passengers stuck at the station. With a clear announcement about the train's condition, passengers can make alternative decisions.

As of the last reports, the Dhaka-bound Kishoreganj Express was still stuck at the station and passengers' wait was continuing. When the train will set off, after engine repair or an alternative arrangement, is now the passengers' main expectation.
