Islami Bank Hospital Inaugurates New Building at Kamalapur

The new Kamalapur building of Islami Bank Hospital, a service institution of Islami Bank Foundation, has been inaugurated. The building, located near the Kamalapur metro station, was formally opened on Monday (October 19).

Mohammad Zahir Hossain, chairman of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC and Islami Bank Foundation, attended the inauguration ceremony as chief guest and opened the new building.

Among the special guests were the bank’s acting managing director Md. Altaf Hossain and additional managing director Dr. M Kamal Uddin Jasim.

Executive Director of Islami Bank Foundation K. M. Munirul Alam Al-Mamun and the bank’s company secretary Md. Habibur Rahman were also present as special guests.

Islami Bank Foundation general manager Md. Anisul Haque and deputy general manager Mohammad Jasim Uddin attended the ceremony as well.

Dr. Md. Harun Or-Rashid, superintendent of Islami Bank Hospital Motijheel, chaired the ceremony, while administrative in-charge Md. Al Amin delivered the welcome address.

Specialist consultants of the hospital, superintendents, executives and officials of Islami Bank Foundation, and local dignitaries were present at the inauguration.

Islami Bank Hospital has long provided healthcare as a service institution of Islami Bank Foundation. With the new building at Kamalapur following its Motijheel presence, the institution’s service reach has widened further.

Kamalapur is one of the capital’s biggest transport hubs, home to the country’s main railway station and a metro station. Those involved believe a hospital building in such an area will make medical care easier to access for passengers and local residents alike.

With the inauguration, the hospital’s activities at the Kamalapur building have formally begun.
